MEET OUR THERAPISTS 💓

Emilee Henriquez
LCMHC & Founder of Therapy Friends
I'm the therapist for you if you struggle with people-pleasing, feel disconnected from yourself, or carry the weight of generational wounds.
You deserve to live a full, authentic life that feels good. Yet, oppression & trauma often get in the way of that reality. As a fellow human, I get it. It feels so hard to exist in a world that doesn't feel like it was designed for you.
I am a trauma-informed therapist. I blend evidenced-based modalities based on individual need: CBT, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, IFS, Inner Child Framework, Family Systems Theory, Poly Vagal Theory, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. I am an eclectic therapist!
I use a variety of techniques in therapy, including: client storytelling, emotional processing, validation, compassion, rejection of perfectionism, rituals, guided meditations, imagery, somatic processing, careful self-disclosure to support cultural experience, the use of silence & stillness, etc.
At the core of my work, I support clients in coming home to themselves. I provide a safe space for clients to explore themselves, learn to trust themselves, advocate for themselves, and build their inner sense of worthiness.
I received my bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in Family Science from Utah Valley University in 2019. My Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling was gained from Grand Canyon University in 2022. I have been practicing as a full-time therapist since 2021.
Outside of therapy, I am a creative! I love to create mixed media pieces on canvas, solder stained glass in my backyard studio, jump into house renovation projects, and express myself through color.
I am a proud Latina therapist—bicultural, daughter of an immigrant, and deeply connected to my Salvadoran roots.

Consultation: FREE
New Client 60-minute Intake (Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation): $175

Sliding Scale Options
Instead of using the same flat, hourly rates for all clients, a sliding scale fee system allows costs to be adjusted based on what a client can afford.
Please request more information if you need an adjusted rate.
Group Therapy & Support Groups
Support groups and group therapy sessions often provide more cost-effective alternatives to individual therapy.
These rates are usually specified for particular group sessions and can be found on the support group or therapy group's information page.
Good Faith Estimate
A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) refers to an outline of expected costs of therapy services for clients, particularly those who are uninsured or paying out-of-pocket. This requirement stems from the No Surprises Act (effective January 2022), aimed at protecting consumers from unexpected medical bills.
Who qualifies as a self-pay patient?
A provider’s duty to provide notice and a GFE applies to self-pay patients, i.e., an individual who (1) does not have benefits for an item or service under a group health plan, group or individual health insurance coverage offered by a health insurance issuer, federal healthcare program, or a health benefits plan; or (2) chooses not to use his or her coverage benefit for the item or service.
In many ways, this regulation protects patients from discovering, after they receive care, that they owe a massive medical bill for un-covered services.
However, therapy is different in that we can’t necessarily provide an estimate of how long it takes to treat a relationship issue, anxiety, depression or and trauma.
There are to many variables that make it nearly impossible to determine what will be needed for treatment. And there is no way to give a “good faith estimate” on whether or not a client will want to return.
Good Faith Estimate Details
Established clients have already completed their intake appointments and can disregard the fee for that service.
New clients are required to begin with a 60 minute intake appointment.
